Agreement
These terms govern your use of U Creator. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are using U Creator on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. Full operator entity details will be published before paid services open.
U Creator is available to users in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Amounts are shown in the currency of the country on your account, so a brief posted from India is in Indian rupees and one posted from the United States is in US dollars. We do not convert between currencies. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.
What U Creator is
U Creator is a marketplace that connects brands with creators and keeps briefs, messages, files, delivery versions and approvals together. Live project payments and payment protection are not available yet. We are not a licensed escrow provider and are not a party to the contract between a brand and a creator. We do not employ creators, do not direct how work is produced, and do not guarantee the quality or timeliness of any deliverable.
We act as an electronic commerce entity in a marketplace model. The contract for the work itself is between the brand and the creator.
Accounts
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. One account per person or business. Accounts choose a role (brand or creator), and that role cannot be changed later, because ratings and transaction history attach to it.
Information you publish about yourself must be accurate. Misstating your audience, your past work, or your identity is a breach of these terms, and connected-platform statistics are read from the platform rather than accepted as typed.
Fees
The Free creator plan is available now for accounts, profiles, discovery, briefs and project workspaces. U Creator does not currently collect project payments or commission. When live project payments open, the announced Free plan commission is 15%. The applicable split will be shown before any payment is collected.
Paid memberships opening soon. Creator Basic (₹399/month with 12% project commission), Creator Elite (₹1,999/month with 10% project commission), Brand Basic (₹999/month), and Brand Elite (₹3,999/month) are optional recurring memberships billed monthly through Razorpay Subscriptions, separate from project payments. Cancelling a membership takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Benefits remain active until then and there is no prorated refund; see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for detail. Membership does not itself collect or move project payment money, which remains subject to the Free plan's announced 15% creator commission until live project payments open. We will show the applicable price and fee before collecting any plan or project payment.
Identity review is separate from membership and promotion, and there is no standalone identity-review purchase: one review is included with Basic and Elite. Payment for a membership is never itself an approval, an endorsement, audience verification, better performance, or a guarantee of being hired. Any promoted placement will be labelled Featured and will apply only to creators who are otherwise relevant and eligible for the search. Identity review opening soon.
After live project payments open, commission will be earned on approval, when marketplace settlement is executed. A project cancelled or refunded before approval will carry no commission. The split and any applicable taxes will be shown before payment. Full detail is on the pricing page.
Scope, delivery and revisions
The project brief and any written agreement recorded in U Creator define the deliverables, timing and included revision rounds. A revision round means one consolidated set of feedback on a submitted deliverable. Correcting work that misses a clear, agreed requirement does not use an included revision round.
A new concept, new asset, reshoot, new deliverable, changed platform specification, or other request outside the agreed scope is additional work. The creator may decline it or propose a paid change order. A brand may not require unlimited revisions unless the creator explicitly offered them in the recorded agreement.
Structured delivery versions and revision counters are recorded in the project workspace. Change-order payments, milestones and automatic review deadlines are not currently active, so both parties must record any additional scope and agreement in the project conversation before extra work begins.
Payments and payment protection
Project payments opening soon. Confirming a creator does not collect money, and U Creator does not currently accept a live project payment or send a creator payout. Before payments open, we will publish the supported provider flow, cancellation and refund conditions, settlement timing and dispute process. Refunds and cancellations are described on our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Creators are responsible for their own tax obligations on amounts they receive, including income tax and any GST that applies to them. We may deduct tax at source and issue the corresponding statements where the law requires it.
Your content and ownership of work
You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant U Creator a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as needed to run the service (for example, showing your portfolio on your public profile or in the creator directory).
Unless the recorded project terms say otherwise, ownership of commissioned work transfers only when the creator has received the agreed payment. Until that moment the creator retains all rights in the deliverable, and a brand that has not paid has no licence to use it. Anything the two parties agree separately (such as exclusivity, usage terms, or paid-media rights) takes precedence over this clause, and should be recorded in the brief so it is part of the record we would review in a dispute.
Creators warrant that the work they deliver is their own, that they have cleared any music, footage, likeness or location used in it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Acceptable use
Do not post unlawful, misleading, infringing or abusive content; do not misrepresent your identity, audience or past work; do not attempt to take a confirmed transaction off the platform to avoid fees; and do not interfere with the service's operation or attempt to access data that is not yours.
We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms and may pause related project activity while we investigate a credible report.
Ratings and reports
Ratings may be left after a project completes and are published as given. Both sides rate each other, and neither sees the other's rating until both have submitted or the window closes, so a rating cannot be written in retaliation for one already received.
Reports of policy breaches are reviewed by us. We do not disclose the identity of a reporter to the reported party.
Liability
U Creator is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we give no warranty as to the quality, legality, timeliness or fitness for purpose of any work commissioned through it. Those are matters between the brand and the creator.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with a brief is limited to the commission we actually received on that brief. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, however caused.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
You agree to indemnify us against claims brought by a third party that arise from content you posted, work you delivered, or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. When live project payments open, termination will not erase any collected-payment record or the cancellation and refund obligations attached to it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Before going to court, please raise the matter with our Grievance Officer, whose details are on the contact page. Most disputes about a specific brief are resolved faster through the process in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Material changes will be notified to account holders before they take effect. Questions: support@ucreator.in.
